What is a Bone Grafting? 

Bone grafting is used to fuse the spine and provide stability. It can be done with the patient’s own bone or from a bone graft substitute. Bone grafts are placed where the top layer of bone was removed. This bone eventually grows in to place and fuses to the spine.
